Supply Delivery
Definition
A supply delivery in Care records stock that moves from one location to another location in the same facility. For example, the central store dispatches supplies to a ward. One supply delivery groups one or more delivered items under a single delivery. When you complete the delivery, Care moves the stock from the source location count to the destination location count.
Care uses the same delivery mechanism for two purposes. A supply delivery names an internal source location in the same facility. A purchase delivery receives stock from an outside vendor. Both types share the same fields, the same statuses, and the same screens. The source you name decides which type the delivery is.
Key Attributes

Supply Order link
You can link a supply delivery to the supply order that it fulfills. Care then pre-fills the name, the source location, the destination, and the tags of the delivery from that order.
Delivered items
You add delivered items after you create the delivery. Each delivered item names an inventory item and a quantity. The inventory item is a specific batch that is already in stock at the source location. Care checks that the source location holds enough stock before it accepts the item.
Status
| Status | Description |
|---|---|
| Draft | You started the delivery, and you can still change it. |
| Pending | The delivery waits for the destination location to receive it. |
| Completed | The destination location received the delivery. Care updated the stock counts. |
| Abandoned | Nobody continues with the delivery. |
| Entered in Error | Somebody recorded the delivery by mistake. |
Permissions
Permissions apply for each facility.
